DescriptionThe Design for Manufacturability (DFM) Analog Device Matching Checker (ADMC) tool is developed to provide analog device matching rules and checks, detecting physical and electrical mismatches that impact circuit performance. The ADMC tool provides schematic, context-aware layout, and electrical checks for differential circuits and other sensitive devices. The schematic and the layout checks detect device parameter-mismatches and layout asymmetries. If layout mismatches or asymmetries were detected, electrical checks are used to quantify the impact in terms of resistance (R) and capacitance (C). The ADMC tool is applied to 22FDX analog designs. Electrical checks are used to compare the R and C contributions due to fill and DFM redundant via insertions. Results show that fill insertion’s contribution to R and C change is ~7x that of DFM redundant via insertions. All designs pass DFM analog device matching checks, as results are within the expected design tolerances.
