DescriptionBig data applications have differentiated requirements for I/O resources in cloud environments, e.g., bandwidth, service time, and priority.
In this paper, we propose a novel I/O scheduling model called R2B which can simultaneously satisfy fairness and achieve both high efficiency and bandwidth utilization for multi-tenant in cloud centers.
This work can also help the cloud provider achieve higher utilization by shifting the burden to the cloud customers to specify their type of workloads.
