Training Day
DescriptionFirst, for the very first time, Data Scientists (and aspiring Data Scientists) can take a hands-on course to become highly proficient in the art of building ML models. Details are listed below.

This hands-on machine learning bootcamp is a half-day session where students learn to train machine learning models to solve both regression and classification problems. At the end of attending both modules the students will have learnt how to prepare the data and feed it to a machine learning model and learn the most useful concept in machine learning: rapid iteration. Detailed information can be found at:

Module 1: Introduction to machine learning in Python
In this hands-on course specially built for Data Scientists, students learn to train machine learning models to solve both regression and classification problems. At the end of this module the students will have learnt how to prepare the data and feed it to a machine learning model, as well as how to evaluate the model accuracy.

Module 2: Improving machine learning models.
Improving machine learning models. In this module students are encouraged to iterate on the model they built in module 1 and learn the most useful concept in machine learning: rapid iteration. We cover feature engineering, data imputation, feature selection and model improvement. We discuss other metrics beyond accuracy and learn to evaluate the model performance in the real world. At the end of this module the students will have learnt a method to successfully apply machine learning to problems in their work.

Note: Thursday training day sessions are not included in the DAC pass. All Thursday training sessions are additional fees. Register today!

**Attendees for the hands-on training are required to bring laptops.
