DescriptionThis paper develops Agile: A Collaborative Air-ground IoT Edge Framework for Sustainable Remote Monitoring to maximize the amount of data delivered to UAV via realizing the synergy of the ground IoT layer and the air layer. In the ground layer, a DRL-based multi-hop routing and energy allocation policy is developed for EH IoT devices with the consideration of their intermittent work pattern. In the air layer, the M-Iterative-GA algorithm is developed to optimize the UAV trajectory through leveraging the geo-location of EH IoT devices. Simulation results indicate that Agile improves the amount of data delivery by $\sim3\times$ compared with baselines.
