Francesco is the author of Zero to Deep Learning and the CEO & Chief Data Officer at Catalit, a data science consultancy that provides strategy, consulting, and training to companies ranging from high-tech startups to Fortune 500 engineering teams on the use of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning for high-impact business initiatives that provide seamless customer experience, drive revenue, & reduce operating costs.

With a deep history in teaching and Academia, Francesco combined his joint PhD in Biophysics with his expertise in data science as the Chief Data Officer and co-­founder at Spire, a YCombinator-­backed startup that invented the first consumer wearable device to continuously track respiration and activity.

A sought-after trainer in Data Science and Machine Learning, Francesco was Lead Instructor in Data Science for General Assembly and The Data Incubator, and continues to teach at industry events including Pybay, ODSC, TDWI, AINext and MLConf.
